The Issue

WE ARE IN AN EDUCATIONAL CRISIS

According to Annual Survey of Education Report (ASER) 2018 – only 27.2% of class three students couldn’t read a simple class two level sentences & only 28.1% could do basic subtraction.

Even though there has been a constant rise in school admissions since the Right to Education Act, the dropout rate only seems to be on a rise.

This means the providing access to education is not the same is providing quality education. While the total expenditure by government in elementary education has risen from Rs 80,000 crore to Rs 2.26 lakh crore between 2008-09 and 2014-15, the learning outcomes or percentage of students in class 5 who can read class 2-level text in government schools has declined.

Those who do not acquire foundational learning skills are unable to catch up later and eventually drop out of school.

This a major cause of concern for our Education system!

The Approach

Primary level education is the foundation of any child’s learning process. It is where they learn the basics and build upon them, as they advance in the education system. We aim to work with children from Primary to Sr. Secondary and give
them an academic education along with other social and life skills.

Our approach can be broken down to three things:

Empower

We instil these children with an amazing sense of self-worth, a whole lot of resilience and respect for others, and the world around them. At Titliyan, we equip them with a tool box full of life skills that can be handy at any point in their lives.

Education

A good quality education is one that provides a child with capabilities they require to become an active, earning member of our society. With our holistic approach towards education, we show them how they play the role of a creator in their own lives. we try to create a joyful.

Wholeness

A child’s personality is formed way before we realize. Through holistic education we help them realize who they are and create a strong notion of self-worth.
